Linda Hiort

Linda Hiort started her pursuit of music at the young age of 5 with violin and later started taking voice and piano lessons. Hiort received her bachelors degree in vocal performance from Texas Woman’s University in 2016 where she won several awards and sch

Hiort has performed in notable venues such as Lincoln Center in New York City, the Meyerson in Dallas, and Teatro Communal di Calgi in Italy. Locally, Hiort is an active member of the opera scene, starring in productions such as the Tender Land, Carmen and Don Giovanni.

Hiort started teaching during her time at TWU and has continued with teaching private lessons and coaching young developing artists. Her teaching style focuses on pedagogical fundamentals of note literacy, ear training and development, real world application of musical skills, and great technique. At CMM, Hiort teaches voice (all styles), beginner violin and beginner piano.
