Yvonne Chang

Yu-Chen (Yvonne) Chang, born in Taipei, Taiwan. Now studying at Texas Woman’s University, Master’s in Music Therapy. Graduated from University of Houston, MM Master’s in piano performance. Got bachelor’s degrees from National University of Tainan, Major in piano performance, guiding and counseling, and elementary school education; Minor in vocal and violin.

In performing, Yvonne has been holding few personal recitals, and being accompanist for many years. She has collaborated with various singers and instrumental soloists. She had been invited as a piano accompanist for a chamber group in Texas Music Festival in June 2017. Also, performed at the TMF Young Artist Chamber Concert and TMF pianist outreach. During the four years in US, she has been accompanying for many Chinese choirs and professional choirs including Moores School Women’s Choir and Houston Symphony Chorus. Other than that, she has been playing for instrumental ensembles including Moores School Orchestra and TWU wind symphony.

As a music teacher, she has been teaching piano and violin private lessons for years especially in teaching special-need children, which shows the patience to the students. Also, was teaching piano in after school program at River Oaks Elementary School, which was the top elementary school of Houston ISD, while studying in Houston. Other than HISD, she had also taught at Houston Suzuki, Cy-Fair Music & Art, and Vivo Professional Music School.
