Elise Eastin

Elise Eastin is a pianist and teacher in Dallas, Texas, who has years of experience teaching all ages and levels of musical background. She received a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a Master of Music in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Oklahoma in Norman.

Elise grew up in Southeast Missouri and loved the piano from a young age. She participated in many festivals and recitals, receiving top marks and representing her district at state-wide competitions. Knowing she wanted to teach, she pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance at the University of Missouri in Kansas City. Here, she studied under professors from universities all over the nation, including the Juilliard School of Music. It was in Kansas City that she began to teach, and her desire to continue down that path led her to the University of Oklahoma in Norman, home to one of the most active and reputable Piano Pedagogy programs in the United States. At OU, she studied piano under Dr. Jeongwon Ham and piano pedagogy under Dr. Barbara Fast and Dr. John Patrick Murphy.

Her goal in teaching is to help students realize their own potential and to develop their abilities to independently learn, be expressive, and problem-solve. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, spending time with friends and family, and learning to play new musical instruments!
