Johnny Jung

Johnny Jung is a professional guitarist, composer, audio engineer, and teacher whose students adore him. He has an amazing ability to connect with each of his students. Jung’s musical Journey started with playing piano at the age of 7 years old. At the time, he was playing high classical music from composers like Mozart, Beethoven, Schumann and so on. His Mother was a passionate music lover who always challenged Johnny to learn new instruments. At the age of 16, he started learning guitar after discovered the “G3 Live” concert album. He was passionate about Rock music, which led him to delve into guitar improvisational music – especially “blues”. Steve Ray Vaughan was Jung’s biggest influenced as a teenager. Eventually, Jung’s love for improvisation led him to learn Jazz guitar.Jung moved to Seoul, South Korea, to attend Seoul Jazz Academy which is Global Partner Institute of Berklee College of Music. He graduated Seoul Jazz Academy as the best honored student with scholarship. He also taught there under a Teaching Fellowship after graduation.In 2008, Jung moved to the United States to study Jazz and improvisation on an advanced level at the University of North Texas College of Music.
